Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, has pledged to address Ghana’s youth unemployment crisis head-on.
Speaking at a rally in Kpando, Volta Region, he unveiled an ambitious plan to create one million jobs by equipping the youth with vital digital skills.
Bawumia aims to empower young people, regardless of their educational backgrounds, to thrive in the global digital economy.
He stressed that tackling youth unemployment is his foremost priority and believes that providing the necessary tools and knowledge will help unlock opportunities for Ghana’s youth.
“We all know our youth need jobs. I am committed to giving one million young people in Ghana digital skills. Even if you’re a school dropout, we can train you.
“You’ll be able to live in Kpando and work for companies in America, Germany, Japan, the UK, and the US all from right here with your new digital skills.”
