These shocking losses are reshaping the political landscape, with only a few NPP MPs holding on to their positions.
Among the notable casualties is KT Hammond, the long-serving MP for Adansi Asokwa, who was defeated by the NDC’s Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi Dorani, who won with 14,229 votes against Hammond’s 13,275. Other key figures, including Dakoa Newman (Okaikwei South) and Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (Ablekuma West), also saw disappointing results, with Owusu-Ekuful securing just 26,575 votes.
