The Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development has released a new list of District Chief Executive (DCE) nominees as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to bolster local governance across Ghana.
Among the notable names is Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, popularly known as King Zuba, who has been nominated as the next Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA). His nomination is seen as a strategic move to bring dynamic leadership to the Ashanti Region’s capital city.
This latest batch of nominees includes individuals from the Bono East, Bono, Upper West, Western, and Central Regions, in addition to others from the Upper East, Northern, and Ashanti Regions. These appointments aim to fill critical leadership positions in local assemblies nationwide.
All nominees are expected to be vetted and approved by their respective district assemblies before assuming office.
This announcement follows an earlier list of nominees released last week, signaling the government’s continued commitment to strengthening decentralized administration and community-level development.
