IGP and CDS Meet, Reaffirm Commitment to Resolving Bawku Conflict

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno and the Police Management Board (POMAB) today, Monday, April 14, 2025, welcomed Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Major General William Agyapong to the National Police Headquarters.

Major General Agyapong’s visit, his first to the headquarters as CDS, included a Guard of Honour parade held in his honor.

During their meeting in Accra, the IGP and CDS reaffirmed the commitment of their respective security agencies to collaborate and find lasting solutions to the ongoing conflict in Bawku, Upper East Region.

This renewed pledge comes amidst recent calls for increased security measures and peace initiatives in the troubled area.
