Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised to develop an Airport City in Manhyia North, modeled after the successful Airport City in Accra, should he be elected president.
Wrapping up his Ashanti Region tour on Wednesday, Bawumia shared his vision for the area, highlighting his experience with major infrastructure projects, including the Kumasi and Tamale airports.
He emphasized the benefits the project would bring to the region, stating, “We want to establish an Airport City here in Manhyia North to create opportunities for all. I played a key role in negotiating with the UK government for this airport project, and just as we’ve done in Accra, we want to replicate that success here in Kumasi.”
Bawumia urged voters to support his candidacy, promising to return after eight years to account for his progress. “Give me the opportunity, and I’ll steer the country toward greater success,” he said, calling on Ghanaians to trust him with their vote.
