The Ministry of Education has allocated an extra GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to bolster its operations and ensure the uninterrupted marking of the 2024 WASSCE scripts.
In a statement released on Monday, December 23, Kwasi Kwarteng, the ministry’s spokesperson, confirmed the funding and assured the public that WAEC has committed to releasing the results soon.
This financial intervention aims to resolve operational challenges, reduce delays, and bring relief to anxious students, parents, and schools eagerly awaiting the results. The move underscores the government’s commitment to supporting education and maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
