The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has been recognized for its outstanding corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts with the Energy With Purpose Award (CSR Impact Honour) at the 2024 Premier Energy Leadership Middle East & Africa Conference & Awards in Dubai.
The award was presented on October 17th at the Khoory Sky Garden Hotel in Dubai, UAE, during an event focused on harnessing AI for a sustainable energy future.
GNPC’s foundation has implemented numerous CSR initiatives across Ghana, including:
- Education: Offering foreign and local scholarships for tertiary education.
- Infrastructure: Constructing science laboratories, sick bays, CHPS compounds, dormitories, astro turfs, classroom blocks, sanitary facilities, dining halls, and boreholes.
- Skill Development: Training artisans and providing them with tools to start their entrepreneurial ventures.
The award is a testament to GNPC’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of Ghanaians and communities nationwide.
The company’s representatives, Deputy Chief Executive (Finance) Benjamin Kweku Acolatse Esq and Executive Director of GNPC Foundation Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah, accepted the award on behalf of GNPC.
