According to the Ghana Statistical Service, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the top destination for Ghanaian gold, accounting for 40.1% of total exports.
Switzerland, South Africa, and India follow closely behind, collectively capturing 99.2% of the market share.
Beyond gold, other key exports include mineral fuels, cocoa, vegetable products, and iron and steel.
China is a major destination for mineral fuels and oils, while the Netherlands is the primary market for cocoa exports.
Burkina Faso is a significant source of vegetable products and iron and steel imports.
