Jeffery Oppong Peprah James, CEO of VW Ghana and President of the Automobile Association of Ghana, has expressed optimism about the future of the country’s automotive industry.

He attributes the positive outlook to Ghana’s growing economy and stable political climate, which have attracted significant foreign investment.

Local assembly plants, he believes, are a key driver of the sector’s growth.

“We’re seeing a bright future for the auto industry in Ghana. The local assembly of vehicles is not only providing quality cars to Ghanaians but also creating jobs and contributing to the economy,” said James.

The increasing demand for vehicles in Ghana presents opportunities for local auto parts manufacturers.

As the local production of cars rises, so too will the demand for domestically produced auto parts.

While electric vehicles are still in their infancy in Ghana, growing interest and emerging infrastructure suggest a promising future for this technology in the country.
