Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, the National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has responded to Alan Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement for Change, over his recent criticism of former President John Agyekum Kufour.
Alan Kyerematen had accused Kufour of tarnishing his political legacy by endorsing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, claiming it opened the door for party loyalists to disrespect him despite his distinguished career.
Speaking on the Ghana ‘Se Sen’ Morning Show on Lawson TV/Radio, Nana B described Kyerematen’s remarks as revealing his “true character.”
He argued that Alan Kyerematen, who was a key figure in the Kufour administration, should have refrained from such criticism.
“Kufour is an NPP stalwart. Do you expect him to endorse you? Attacking him only exposes your character. You were an integral part of his administration, and this approach is not just surprising but disappointing,” he told Kwame Tanko
Nana B further stated that Alan’s comments appear to justify attacks against Kufour, adding that silence would have been a better response.
“By speaking out in this manner, you are essentially supporting those who attack Kufour. I’m amazed,” he added.
