“We’re Coming Out with Full Force” – Riyadh Islamic Basic School Sends a Strong Message to Competitors

The Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest is heating up as more schools join the auditions for the highly anticipated second edition.

Organized by Pastor Philip Sarpong, CEO of Perfect Grade Publications & Stationery, the contest is designed for Basic 4 to 6 pupils, testing their knowledge based on the newly introduced NaCCA curriculum.

On February 19, 2025, Riyadh Islamic Basic School in Accra became the latest institution to step into the competition, displaying remarkable enthusiasm and readiness.

Speaking to Lawson News, Mr. John Quaye, the Assistant Headteacher of Riyadh Islamic Basic School, expressed confidence in his students’ abilities, emphasizing the school’s strong academic record, particularly in the BECE pass rate.

“If a student cannot read, they cannot reach greater academic heights. Everything in this contest revolves around reading,” Mr. Quaye stated, stressing that literacy is the foundation of academic success.

He further sent a bold message to competing schools:
“We are coming out with full force! The kids are prepared, and Insha Allah, we are going far—we will be victorious!”

Teachers at Riyadh Islamic Basic School also encouraged their pupils to give their best, aiming to raise the school’s reputation even higher.

“Since the contest began, we have witnessed eagerness and enthusiasm among our students, and we believe this will yield positive results,” they said.

Meanwhile, the participating learners shared their excitement, stating that the assessment was engaging and they are determined to score high marks and bring the trophy home.
