Philip Appiah Kubi, disqualified presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has refuted rumors that the party has endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a media briefing on December 4, an individual purported to be the GFP’s Deputy General Secretary, Jerry Addo, announced that the party had decided to back the NDC after extensive discussions.
However, Kubi quickly denied these claims in an interview with Citi News, stating that the GFP has not made any decision on which party to support ahead of the upcoming elections.
He emphasized that both he and the party’s leadership have not endorsed any political party. “It’s fake news,” Kubi asserted, reassuring that the party will make its position clear at the appropriate time.
