Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the former Minister of Education, has stepped forward to aid the victims of the devastating Adum Blue Light fire disaster, which left traders in Kumasi reeling from the loss of millions of Ghana Cedis worth of investments.

Following the tragedy on March 21, various forms of assistance have poured in from the government and compassionate citizens, helping the victims as they strive to recover.

On Thursday, April 10, Dr. Adutwum joined the efforts by presenting a generous donation of GH¢100,000 and 200 bags of cement to the traders’ leadership. His donation followed a visit to the fire site, where he witnessed the scale of the destruction firsthand.

Expressing his sympathy, Dr. Adutwum encouraged the resilient traders to stay strong as they rebuild their livelihoods.

He emphasized that, as a former Education Minister, he could not forget the unwavering support he had received from the traders in the past, and hoped that his contribution would help them in their recovery.
