Five suspected landguards have been apprehended by the police for allegedly encroaching on lands belonging to the Ghana Standards Authority and Regimanuel Estate.

The arrests follow a visit by members of the Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to the sites in response to petitions regarding ongoing landguard activities and encroachments.  

Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Security Council, Daniel Titus-Glover, addressed the media after the arrests, vowing to restore order in the capital and take decisive action against individuals involved in illegal activities.

He emphasized the importance of upholding the law and maintaining peace in the region.
