A fire at the Saglemi Affordable Housing Project engulfed five 40-foot office containers on Tuesday evening. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) swiftly responded, with teams from Sege and Devtraco Fire Stations battling the blaze for over three hours.

The fire, which began around 5:52 pm, was fully extinguished by 9 pm. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.

Although the containers and their contents were completely destroyed, the firefighters successfully stopped the flames from spreading to nearby housing units. Fortunately, no casualties were recorded.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but investigations are set to begin soon. The GNFS has received praise for preventing a potentially larger disaster at the site.
