Election 2024: Reject Vote-Buying and Elect Leaders Committed to Change – Cheddar

Independent presidential candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar and leader of the New Force movement, has urged voters to reject vote-buying and focus on electing leaders who are dedicated to bringing about meaningful change.

Cheddar is currently touring the country, engaging with voters in 276 constituencies. During his visit to the Central Region, he made stops in key towns including Mankessim, Anomabo, and Cape Coast, with the region emerging as a critical battleground in the 2024 elections.

While in Apam on November 19, Nana Bediako expressed frustration over the town’s lack of progress. He pointed to issues like poverty, unemployment, and poor infrastructure, blaming failed leadership for these persistent challenges.

“I don’t know what to say but I’m sorry. I’ve been to many places, but coming here to Apam, I can feel that poverty is overwhelming. The level of development here makes you wonder what the future holds. What is the government doing to support the people of Apam?” he remarked.

At the University of Cape Coast, Nana Bediako received a warm reception from students, who were energized by his call to challenge the political dominance of the NDC and NPP.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of economic freedom and empowering the youth to take charge of Ghana’s future.

“If I am in my 60s and I tell you I am going to build your roads, I’m going to build your universities, we must take control of our country. If we don’t act, if we don’t take power and raise our voices, we will remain slaves to others,” he stated.
