He expressed deep concerns over the recent deterioration of discipline in educational institutions.

Addressing school leaders in Sunyani, Bono Region, the Minister cited a disturbing shooting incident at the SDA Senior High School in Kumasi as a prime example of the rising lawlessness in schools. He emphasized that such incidents are deeply troubling and called for immediate reforms.

Haruna Iddrisu affirmed that the Director-General of GES, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, has the government’s full support to implement measures to combat violence and restore order in schools.

He stressed that there would be heightened inspections to ensure that dangerous weapons, such as guns and knives, are not brought into schools.
