The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced it will conduct five press briefings on Saturday, December 7, 2024, coinciding with the national elections for President and Members of Parliament.
These briefings, scheduled throughout the day at 9 am, noon, 3 pm, 6 pm, and 9 pm, will provide essential updates on the elections, address misinformation, and respond to reports circulating nationwide. Each briefing is expected to last no more than 30 minutes.
The EC encourages media personnel, accredited to cover the National Collation Centre, to actively report on these sessions. It also calls on the public and the media to verify election-related reports directly with the Commission to prevent the spread of unverified information.
