EC Ready for 2024 Special Voting on December 2 – Jean Mensa Confirms
Special voting preparations complete as ballot papers and verification machines are set for deployment

- 276 centers nationwide ready for the special voting on December 2, 2024
- 95% of ballots distributed in preparation for the general election
- Verification machines are en route to district offices for Election Day
The Electoral Commission has confirmed that everything is in place for the special voting on Monday, December 2, 2024, across 276 centers nationwide.
During a meeting with the National Security Task Force, led by the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa assured that preparations for the special voting were fully underway.
She also noted that for the general election on the same day, 95% of the ballot papers have been distributed, and biometric verification machines are on their way to district electoral offices for deployment on Election Day.
