Bishop Salifu Amoako, the General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, has issued a heartfelt apology to the families of two young girls who lost their lives in an accident involving his son, Elrad Salifu Amoako.
In a recent statement, Bishop Amoako shared the immense difficulty he and his family have faced since the incident, especially given that his 16-year-old son was involved.
On Wednesday, an Accra Circuit Court granted bail to Bishop Amoako and his wife, who were taken into custody to assist with the investigation.
In an emotional video posted on social media, the bishop was seen kneeling, visibly distressed, as he sought forgiveness from the grieving families. “I am devastated, and no words can undo this tragic event. I have cried countless tears. My only wish is for God to provide you with comfort and strength during this painful time,” he expressed on October 18.
He also appealed to Ghanaians to advocate on his behalf to the affected families.
The Court has set bail for the Amoakos at GH¢50,000, requiring two sureties each.
