Goals from Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe helped Real Madrid move within a point of La Liga leaders Barcelona with a 2-0 victory over Getafe.
Bellingham opened the scoring with a penalty in the 30th minute after Getafe’s Allan Nyom fouled Antonio Rudiger during a corner kick routine.
Just eight minutes later, Bellingham turned provider, threading a ball through for Mbappe, who controlled it with a touch before slotting it into the bottom corner for Real’s second goal.
Getafe came close to pulling one back when Christantus Uche twisted away from Rudiger and fired a powerful shot against the post, with Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois beaten.
Another substitute, John Patrick, also tested Courtois with a thunderous strike that rattled both the crossbar and post as Getafe pressed for a response.
