Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate, has pledged that if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is elected president on December 7, his administration will establish a dedicated bank to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Addressing the leadership of garages at the Suame Magazine in Kumasi, Dr. Prempeh, widely known as Napo, stated that the SME bank would provide loans to businesses, helping them to expand and thrive.
He emphasized that SMEs are crucial to the country’s economic growth, and the proposed bank would empower these businesses by offering the financial resources needed for their development.
Napo, who has been campaigning for votes in the Ashanti Region, also announced that Dr. Bawumia’s administration would introduce a special fund to support women entrepreneurs, further boosting the nation’s economy.
Encouraging SMEs and women in particular to support Dr. Bawumia, Napo urged them to vote massively for the NPP and its parliamentary candidates, highlighting the party’s track record of effective economic management.
In addition to the SME initiatives, Napo proudly pointed to the success of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, which he claimed has helped reduce teenage pregnancies.
Concluding his remarks, Napo reiterated that Dr. Bawumia and the NPP are the best choice to lead Ghana toward prosperity, urging voters to cast their ballots in favor of the NPP in the upcoming election.
