In a call for national cohesion and development, Alban Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, has urged political leaders and citizens to humbly accept the results of the 2024 general elections.
He emphasized that unity is crucial for the country’s advancement, following a resounding victory for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a significant defeat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Bagbin’s message, shared during his Christmas and New Year address, reflected on the challenges faced in governance, the economy, and democratic processes. He expressed hope that the lessons learned from these difficulties would lead to better governance in the future.
The Speaker highlighted the importance of prioritizing national unity, stating that only through collaboration and solidarity can Ghana achieve sustainable development. He urged all citizens to reflect on the election outcomes, acknowledging the role of divine intervention and advocating for peaceful dialogue and cooperation to build a stronger nation.
