Ashanti Regional Minister Highlights Strategic Road Projects to Enhance Healthcare Access

Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has announced that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has implemented key road projects aimed at improving healthcare delivery in the region.

The initiatives include the partial reconstruction of 6 kilometers of the Emena-Apiadu-Donyina Feeder Roads and 3.3 kilometers of the Appiadu-Apromase Feeder Road, along with an additional 25 kilometers of critical access roads in the Oforikrom, Ejisu, and Bosomtwe Districts.

The Regional Minister spoke on Day 2 of the Lawson TV/Radio 96.3 program “Ghana Se Sen” with Kwame Tanko.

These improvements are designed to facilitate easier access to healthcare facilities within these areas.

Upon completion, the roads will create vital connections between major hospitals, including the Ejisu Government Hospital, the Oforikrom Municipal Hospital, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Teaching Hospital, and the Ashanti Regional Hospital.

Mr. Simon Osei Mensah also spoke about the Agenda 111 hospital projects in Asokore Mampong and Oforikrom Municipalities, as well as ongoing road and bridge projects.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure across all sectors to benefit residents of the Ashanti Region.

The Minister also praised President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their unprecedented health initiatives in the area.
