The National Sports Authority (NSA) has initiated a tender process to upgrade football pitches across Ghana to meet FIFA standards.
This move aims to improve the quality of playing surfaces, reduce injury risks, and enhance the overall football experience in the country.
The project, funded by the NSA’s budgetary allocation, is a response to concerns raised by CAF regarding the condition of Ghana’s football stadiums, particularly the Baba Yara Stadium.
The NSA, in collaboration with a Dutch-based company, conducted a comprehensive assessment of pitches nationwide and identified areas requiring improvement.
Interested contractors can obtain tender documents through the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (e-GP) or at the NSA office. Bids, accompanied by a 2% tender security, must be submitted electronically by January 6, 2025.
The NSA believes that this initiative will not only elevate Ghana’s football infrastructure but also contribute to the development of the sport and attract international competitions.
