Don’t Let Agenda 111 Die Under NDC—Akufo-Addo Warns
Akufo-Addo Pushes for Continued Progress in Healthcare
- Akufo-Addo warns that if the NDC returns to power, ongoing hospital projects like Agenda 111 could be abandoned
- Several key hospitals are either completed or nearing completion
- The president urges voters to carefully consider the potential consequences of changing leadership
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has raised alarms over the fate of the Agenda 111 hospital projects if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regains power.
He pointed to their past criticisms of the initiative as a sign that the program could be abandoned under their leadership.
Speaking to professional groups in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, November 25, the president urged Ghanaians to reflect on the progress made during his administration.
He warned that voting for former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming elections could derail critical national projects.
Akufo-Addo highlighted achievements under the Agenda 111 initiative, including completed facilities like the Asante Akyem and Kumawu district hospitals, while others, such as the Komfo Anokye Maternity and Children’s Hospital, are nearing completion.
He assured that some projects would be commissioned before his term ends in January 2025.
He concluded by urging voters to avoid past mistakes, cautioning, “Agenda 111 is not in their hearts. The people of Ashanti must think very carefully before December 7.”
