Kizz Daniel Pledges to Quit Music If Anyone Proves They Wrote His Songs
The Nigerian music sensation vows to abandon his career if anyone but Runtown claims songwriting credits
- Kizz Daniel vows to quit music if anyone apart from Runtown proves they wrote his songs
- Praises Runtown, calling him “Sound God” and the only writer of a song for him
- Challenges critics in response to doubts about his claim on social media
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has revealed the one scenario that would make him abandon his thriving music career.
The singer declared that he would retire from music if anyone, aside from fellow artist Runtown, could provide evidence of having written songs for him.
Kizz took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to applaud Runtown, describing him as the only person who has ever penned a song for him, referring to the artist as “Sound God.”
“For the first time in my life, someone wrote a song for me, and it’s Runtown. Sound God is not human,” he wrote.
However, a user, @KTwinBlog, questioned his statement, asking, “For the first… you sure?”
Kizz Daniel responded emphatically, saying, “Make any mofo come out say dem write for me I go stop music right now.”
While ghostwriting is a widely accepted practice globally, it remains less celebrated in Nigeria, where fans often equate an artist’s credibility with writing their own music.
