Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has shared how his life took a turbulent turn after winning the “Best Dressed Female” award earlier this year.
Bobrisky revealed on Instagram that the challenges began immediately after claiming the N1 million cash prize for the award, which he won at the “Best of Two Worlds” movie premiere in March 2024. The star-studded event featured notable Nollywood personalities such as Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, and Sola Sobowale.
The win, however, sparked widespread backlash online, with critics questioning the decision. Bobrisky has since faced multiple scandals, including serving jail time for defacing naira notes and subsequent re-arrests.
In a candid post, Bobrisky vowed never to accept similar accolades again, writing, “If I ever see another award for ‘Best Dressed Female,’ I’ll disappear from that location ASAP.”
