The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has strongly condemned disparaging remarks made about former President John Agyekum Kufuor by Dela Edem, an NDC communications team member and aide to former President John Mahama.

In a viral video, Edem, speaking on TV XYZ, alleged that Kufuor was “evil” and suggested his health challenges were due to a curse.

NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) denounced the remarks as “despicable, shameful, and disgraceful,” emphasizing the party’s unwavering respect for the former president.

The NPP also criticized John Mahama for his silence, urging him to discipline Edem, apologize, and publicly condemn the comments.

These developments highlight rising tensions between the two parties as calls grow for civility in political discourse.
