Cristiano Ronaldo’s spectacular bicycle kick capped off a dominant second-half performance as Portugal cruised past Poland to secure a spot in the Nations League quarter-finals.

With Portugal already 4-0 up in the final minutes, Ronaldo displayed his acrobatic brilliance, firing home a precise bicycle kick at the far post to complete his brace for the game.

His second goal added to an impressive team display, as all five of Portugal’s goals came in a commanding second-half surge.

The scoring was kicked off by Rafael Leao, who headed in the opener, and the floodgates quickly opened after that. Portugal were awarded a penalty when Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior fouled inside the box, and Ronaldo made no mistake, sending the spot-kick straight down the middle to double the lead.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes then added a stunning third, striking a powerful shot that rifled into the underside of the bar. Chelsea’s Pedro Neto rounded off the performance with a well-placed strike inside the near post to make it 4-0.

Poland managed to grab a late consolation goal through Dominik Marczuk, but it did little to dampen the jubilant celebrations from the Portuguese fans, who were treated to a clinical and entertaining second-half display.

Ronaldo’s two goals marked his continued excellent form in the competition, taking his tally to five goals in five Nations League matches.

With the win, Portugal advance to the quarter-finals as Group A1 winners, while Poland’s hopes of progressing were dashed.
