Fuel Prices to Drop Slightly in Mid-November – COPEC
Consumers to Benefit from a Small Drop in Petrol and Diesel Prices Starting November 16
- Petrol prices set to decrease by 5.06%
- Diesel prices expected to drop by 3.88%
- Price adjustments reflect changes in global oil prices and exchange rate fluctuations
The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has projected a modest decrease in fuel prices as the second pricing window for November opens on Saturday, November 16.
Petrol is expected to see a 5.06% reduction, with prices dropping from the current average of GHȼ14.30 per litre to between GHȼ12.90 and GHȼ14.26 per litre. Diesel prices are set to fall by 3.88%, from GHȼ15.16 per litre to a range of GHȼ13.85 to GHȼ15.31 per litre.
This comes after months of rising fuel costs, including a notable price hike by state-owned GOIL, which increased diesel prices from GHȼ14.90 per litre in October to GHȼ15.45 per litre in November.
COPEC’s forecast brings some relief to consumers struggling with rising fuel prices, with the adjustments largely driven by fluctuations in global oil prices and the exchange rate.
