Ancelotti Expresses Concern After Real Madrid's Defeat to AC Milan
- Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has voiced his concerns
- This defeat follows a heavy 4-0 loss to rivals Barcelona in El Clasico
- Milan have also had a mixed start to their season
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has voiced his concerns following his team’s defeat to AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The loss marks back-to-back home defeats for Madrid, who have struggled in their opening four Champions League matches, securing only six points.
After Malick Thiaw opened the scoring for Milan, Vinicius Junior equalized with a penalty. However, goals from Alvaro Morata and Tijjani Reijnders sealed a well-deserved victory for the visitors.
This defeat follows a heavy 4-0 loss to rivals Barcelona in El Clasico, leaving Madrid trailing the Catalan club by nine points in La Liga.
“We have to be worried; the team’s not performing well,” Ancelotti said. “We need to be more compact and organized. We’ve conceded too many goals, and our on-pitch organization has to improve.”
Milan have also had a mixed start to their season, with only one win from their first three Champions League matches and sitting seventh in Serie A, eight points behind leaders Napoli. However, manager Paulo Fonseca praised his team’s courageous performance in Madrid.
“The players showed great bravery and didn’t play with fear,” Fonseca stated. “We created many chances in the first half, and while we defended more in the second half, we fought hard together. We certainly deserved the win.”
