  • The association distances itself from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission due to perceived bad faith
  • CLOGSAG cites prolonged delays in finalizing a salary structure effective January 1, 2025

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), has announced a nationwide strike starting Thursday, November 7, 2024.

This action follows a notice issued on October 23, 2024, regarding the government’s ongoing delay in establishing a salary structure for employees, set to take effect January 1, 2025.

CLOGSAG’s decision comes after the government failed to meet their demands by the October 31 deadline.

In their statement, the Association emphasized that despite several meetings, no substantial offer has been made, leading them to sever ties with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), which they accuse of acting in bad faith.
