Police Officer Killed in High-Speed Chase Accident
The officer who was driving suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated at Kpandai District Hospital
A tragic incident in Kpandai, Northern Region, on the evening of Sunday, October 20, resulted in the death of one police officer and left another seriously injured.
According to a report the officers from the Formed Police Unit (FPU) were at a checkpoint when rain began.
Seeking shelter at a nearby gas station, they noticed two men on a motorcycle. When the officers tried to stop them, the men did not comply.
The officers pursued the motorcycle, and during the chase, they collided with a pedestrian. The officer riding on the back was thrown off and suffered a fatal head injury.
He was rushed to Kpandai Hospital but sadly passed away upon arrival.

The two men being pursued were also involved in an accident. One sustained injuries and is receiving medical treatment, while the other has been arrested and is in police custody.
