Alan Kyerematen Calls for Change Beyond NPP and NDC
Alan Kyerematen, the founder of the Movement for Change, has positioned himself as the essential leader for Ghana amid rising political tensions between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking at a mega walk in Kumasi Alan Kyerematen criticized both parties for their internal strife, arguing they can no longer be trusted to ensure peace or govern effectively.
He claimed that his leadership would foster unity and prevent further division, making him the ideal choice for Ghanaians at this pivotal moment.
Alan Kyerematen called on citizens to challenge the dominance of the NPP and NDC, pledging to reform the 1992 Constitution if elected.
He argued that the current framework fosters corruption and obstructs good governance, advocating for significant changes to promote accountability.
He also addressed the Free SHS policy, noting that while the concept is promising, its execution has been flawed and requires a reevaluation to truly benefit the populace.
“Ghanaians feel the country is split in two. We politicize issues that shouldn’t be political. The NPP and NDC are at odds with each other. Do they believe this country is theirs alone? If they do, then I’ll step aside. But when two parties are in conflict, a referee is needed. I am that referee for Ghana—Alan Kyerematen is the only one who can restore peace.”
He concluded with a strong message for the upcoming elections, asserting, “If the NDC wins, it will lead to chaos just like an NPP victory. The only way to ensure peace is by electing Alan Kyerematen. Grant me the mandate, and I promise to transform Ghana within a year.”
