Five Israeli soldiers have lost their lives and 15 others have sustained injuries in southern Lebanon amidst ongoing clashes.

According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, a contingent of 40 Israeli troops entered near the town of Ramya, where fierce fighting has resulted in substantial casualties among their ranks.

Hezbollah has also reported that their air defense units successfully targeted two Israeli drones with surface-to-air missiles, forcing them to withdraw from Lebanese airspace.

Local media confirmed the casualties among Israeli forces.

Additionally, reports indicate that eight military helicopters transported injured personnel to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, with further choppers landing at Beilinson and Tel HaShomer hospitals.

This surge in military activity underscores the escalating tensions in the region.
