Serwaa Amihere Trends After Viral Arrest Photo, Police Confirm No Arrest Made
Ghanaian TV presenter Serwaa Amihere has become a hot topic on social media following reports of her alleged arrest, sparked by a striking photo of her in handcuffs alongside two armed police officers.
This image has left fans both worried and curious about the true story behind the viral post.
However, insider information obtained by Pulse.com.gh reveals that the photo fueling speculation about Serwaa’s arrest is actually from a music video shoot. Sources close to the GH One TV presenter clarified that she was not detained but was portraying a character in a music video for award-winning gospel artist Piesie Esther.
The song, titled “At33ne,” is set to be released on October 18, 2024. Piesie Esther expressed her excitement about the upcoming release, stating, “I’m thrilled to share that my new song At33ne (Overturned) will be out on October 18, 2024, on all streaming platforms! This song carries a message of hope and divine breakthrough — don’t miss it!”
Drawing inspiration from the biblical story of Elijah, she added, “Just as God empowered Elijah to defy all odds, At33ne is a testimony of how God overturns situations for the better. He gives us the strength to overcome every challenge, transforming our lives with His power. Get ready for a mighty move of God!”
In response to the rumors, the Ghana Police Service issued an official statement clarifying the situation. “The Ghana Police Service has not arrested Serwaa Amihere. Our investigation indicates that the picture circulating online is from a music video,” the statement read.
The press release concluded with a call to the public: “We urge the public to disregard this misinformation and disinformation.”
