NDC Taskforce Storms Ashanti Regional Office, Demands Promised Jobs

Disgruntled taskforce members in the Ashanti Region accuse the party of sidelining them after playing a crucial role in securing electoral success.

A group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) taskforce members in the Ashanti Region gathered at the party’s regional office on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, to demand job placements promised to them for their contributions to the party’s victory in the 2024 general elections.

Seidu Isshaku, the Ashanti Regional NDC Taskforce Coordinator, stated that they were assured employment opportunities and are determined to hold the party accountable until their demands are met.

“We have been sidelined despite Mr. Mahama’s pledge to secure jobs for us. He urged us to stay vigilant at polling stations until he was declared the winner. We delivered on our part, but now, we have been forgotten,” he lamented.

According to Isshaku, while non-NDC members have secured key positions, the taskforce members who worked tirelessly for the party’s success have been left behind. He emphasized that they will not relent until their promised appointments are fulfilled.
