Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu, has emphasized that a potential loss in the 2024 election should serve as a moment for deep reflection and renewal.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Mac Manu advised party members to approach any unfavorable outcome with humility and a focus on learning from mistakes. He urged the NPP to view a loss not as a disaster but as an opportunity to rebuild and reconnect with the Ghanaian people.
“This is a time for sober reflection. We must take this as a chance to analyze, learn, and come back stronger,” he remarked.
Acknowledging the possibility of defeat, he called for a constructive response, including a thorough postmortem of the campaign to understand what went wrong. “Losing is significant because we entered the race to win, but it’s also a moment to regroup and forge ahead with renewed determination,” he added.
Mr. Mac Manu encouraged the party to remain focused on regaining public trust and goodwill, underscoring that resilience and self-evaluation are crucial for future success.
