Following a tense meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reaffirmed that any peace negotiations will “definitely” involve the United States.
Speaking after a European summit in London, he emphasized the importance of a unified approach between Europe and America in securing peace for Ukraine.
During the summit, Zelenskyy met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European leaders, underscoring Ukraine’s commitment to diplomatic solutions.
He also signaled readiness to sign a minerals deal with the US but stood firm on not ceding any Ukrainian territory to Russia.
Meanwhile, European leaders are working on a comprehensive peace proposal, which will later be presented to President Trump.
Zelenskyy’s Approval Ratings Under Scrutiny
Trump recently claimed that Zelenskyy’s approval ratings had plummeted to 4%, a statement that has been debunked. A new poll by Ukraine’s Rating Group indicates that 65% of Ukrainians trust their government, with public confidence in Zelenskyy showing its first improvement since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
