The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially removed former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta from its wanted list after receiving confirmation from his legal team about his scheduled return to Ghana in May 2025.

This decision follows weeks of speculation regarding his whereabouts, leading the OSP to declare him wanted over corruption-related investigations.

Initially labeled a fugitive on February 12, 2025, Ofori-Atta had been expected to appear for questioning in Accra but was reportedly out of the country.

However, on February 18, 2025, his lawyers assured the OSP of his commitment to cooperating with the investigation upon his return.

In response, the OSP found the proposed return date reasonable and agreed to reschedule the interview.

While Ofori-Atta is no longer classified as a fugitive, the OSP warned that failure to return as promised would result in his reinstatement on the wanted list, with legal measures taken to ensure his participation in the inquiry.
