Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State and President of the Asogli Traditional Area, has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for spearheading the fight against corruption through the introduction of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).

The initiative, aimed at reclaiming stolen state lands and properties, has gained widespread support.

The ORAL Committee, which is currently reviewing over 700 public petitions, is tasked with investigating corruption cases and validating reports on misappropriated public resources.

Speaking during President Mahama’s ‘Thank You Tour’ in the Volta Region on Friday, January 24, Togbe Afede XIV expressed unwavering support for the President’s accountability-driven agenda.

“ORAL brings hope to all of us. It’s disheartening to suffer while a few individuals greedily scramble for the nation’s limited resources. We fully support your plans to recover everything stolen—funds, lands, and properties. Your efforts make corruption unattractive, and your insistence on asset declaration by your appointees is truly heartwarming,” he remarked.

Togbe Afede further applauded President Mahama’s transformative governance initiatives, including the proposed 24-hour economy, describing them as forward-thinking and essential for national progress. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum in addressing corruption and restoring public trust.

“Your reset agenda has inspired Ghanaians. Your bold stance against corruption is appreciated, and we are excited about your vision for a brighter future,” he concluded.
