  • He believes greater inclusivity will reduce voter apathy and strengthen party unity ahead of 2028

In what is fast becoming a movement within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), former Minister of Health and party stalwart, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has thrown his full weight behind Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong’s bold call for inclusivity in the party’s internal electoral system.

Agyeman-Manu, known for his frank and fearless views, didn’t mince words as he endorsed the inclusion of all former polling station executives and electoral area coordinators in the NPP’s expanded Electoral College — a proposal championed by Agyepong as part of his larger vision to reform and revive the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“This is the way to go,” he declared. “Inclusivity, I believe, will kill the voter apathy that significantly caused our downfall.”

The former minister pointed to past internal injustices and manipulations that left many grassroots members sidelined and disillusioned.

“Those who were excluded or cheated out of the constituency delegates list by some Constituency, Regional and National officers became very angry and annoyed,” Agyeman-Manu stated passionately. “All former polling station executives should be included in the expansion exercise.”

This strong endorsement comes as Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former NPP General Secretary with a legacy of principled leadership, prepares to contest for the NPP flagbearer position in the upcoming January 31, 2025 race — when the party officially opens nominations for the 2028 presidential election.

With momentum building and high-profile endorsements rolling in, it’s clear: Kwabena Agyepong’s reform agenda is striking a powerful chord. From former ministers to disillusioned grassroots foot soldiers, the cry is loud and clear — “Let everyone have a voice!”

As the race heats up, the question isn’t just who will lead the NPP, but who will unite it. And with voices like Agyeman-Manu standing tall behind him, Agyepong’s vision of a bigger, fairer, and stronger NPP is no longer just a proposal — it’s a movement.
