Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic ‘A’ has issued a strong warning to its competitors in the Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest as it participated in the contest’s audition on Day Five, February 21, 2025.
The atmosphere was electrifying as school authorities and learners welcomed the second edition of the competition with great enthusiasm.
Having performed remarkably in the first edition, where they secured 4th place, Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic School ‘A’ is determined to clinch the ultimate prize this time.
Led by Pastor Philip Sarpong, CEO of Perfect Grade Publications & Stationery, the contest is designed for Basic 3 to 6 pupils, testing their understanding in accordance with the new NaCCA curriculum.
Speaking to Lawson News, the headmistress of the school, Madam Philomina Aninwaa Tutu, confidently declared that this year’s trophy belongs to them, urging other schools to brace themselves for the competition.
“We are working hard and with full force. This year, we are bringing the trophy home!” she said.
Madam Aninwaa Tutu explained that they did not hesitate to participate in the contest once it was announced, highlighting the value of the Perfect Series textbooks as a key motivation.
She also revealed that their outstanding performance in the first edition earned them high commendations from the Mamprobi area school authorities, along with valuable gifts.
“The brain behind the contest, Pastor Philip Sarpong, never overlooked us or took us for granted. Our students received a laptop and a cash prize, and they were overjoyed,” she said.
According to her, over 150 students registered for this year’s audition, and she is hopeful that they will excel.
The Assistant Headmistress, Mrs. Florence Amissah, echoed her sentiments, emphasizing that their goal is to win this time after securing fourth place in the previous edition.
She revealed that students stay behind after school every day to study in preparation for the contest.
“I expect them to emerge as winners. This time, we won’t let any private school take the trophy. Salvation Army Basic ‘A’ is bringing it home!” she declared.
Meanwhile, some of the learners who participated in the audition described the assessment as fair and engaging, expressing confidence that they would score higher marks and make their school proud.
