Three former top executives of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), including the immediate past Commissioner-General, Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, have been arrested by the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

The arrests, which also include former GRA officials Dr. Isaac Crentsil and Christian Tetteh Sottie, are part of a sweeping investigation into alleged corruption and related offenses tied to contracts awarded to Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML) for revenue assurance services.

According to the Special Prosecutor’s office, the probe aims to uncover potential irregularities in the SML-GRA contracts and to verify claims that SML’s work has significantly increased national revenue.

The controversial deal has drawn intense public and political scrutiny, sparking concerns over financial misconduct and opaque contract practices.
