Sewua Hospital to Be Completed This Year – Mahama Assures Otumfuo

President assures Otumfuo and clergy in Kumasi of his commitment to completing stalled projects, including Sewua Hospital, Suame Interchange, and Kejetia Market Phase II

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to completing the Sewua Hospital by the end of the year.

Addressing the clergy in Kumasi on Sunday, he noted that several projects initiated under his previous administration had been stalled by the recently outgone government. However, he assured that he would see them through to completion.

“I’ve assured Otumfuo that we’ll complete the Sewua Hospital this year. This will help decongest Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), allowing crucial rehabilitation works to continue there,” Mahama stated.

He further disclosed discussions with Euroget De-Invest S.A, the contractors of the Afari Military Hospital, who have committed to resuming work for its speedy completion.

Mahama also highlighted other delayed projects, including the Suame Interchange and various road networks, acknowledging the need for dedicated funding to accelerate their progress and alleviate the hardships faced by Kumasi residents.

Touching on the stalled Kejetia Market Phase II project, he revealed that with the conclusion of negotiations with the official creditor committee, bilateral talks with lenders could now proceed to restart the project.
