Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged appointees serving under President John Dramani Mahama to remain committed, accountable, and true to their duties, emphasizing that their actions directly impact the president’s legacy and the image of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking during a courtesy call at the Jubilee House on Monday, June 2, Otumfuo reminded the officials of the immense trust placed in them—not only by President Mahama but also by the Ghanaian people. He cautioned them not to betray that confidence.
“Remember, your responsibilities are not just tasks—they are a reflection of President Mahama’s trust in you,” he said. “Don’t disappoint him.”
Otumfuo also endorsed President Mahama’s firm stance against corruption, noting that any official looking to misuse public resources has no place in this administration.
“The president has made it clear: his government is not a place for looting. If you serve faithfully, your efforts will be recognized, and it will uplift both the NDC and the nation,” he said.
He urged appointees to work with sincerity, humility, and focus, stressing that their dedication would play a critical role in shaping the administration’s legacy.
