Salisu Bi-Awuribe, the Minister-Designate for the Savannah Region, has pledged to adopt a research-driven approach to address conflicts in the region by identifying their root causes and fostering dialogue.
During his vetting by Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Friday, January 31, 2025, Bi-Awuribe highlighted the inevitability of conflicts in human interactions but expressed confidence in resolving them through informed strategies.
He noted that disputes often stem from misunderstandings, communication gaps, and competing interests. By thoroughly analyzing these underlying causes, he aims to implement lasting solutions.
“Conflicts are part of human behavior, and once you pinpoint their source, resolution becomes easier. Many issues arise simply from miscommunication, such as the disconnect between elected MPs and appointed District Chief Executives (DCEs),” he explained.
Bi-Awuribe reaffirmed his commitment to bridging such gaps and fostering unity in the region through research-backed interventions.
