Samira Bawumia Rejects NDC’s Tribalism, Defends Her Fulani Heritage
Samira urges Ghanaians to vote for unity, not division, as election nears.
- NDC criticized Samira for her Fulani heritage
- Samira rejects NDC’s tribal focus and defends her qualifications
- Samira calls for inclusive leadership and national respect
Hajia Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, has fiercely condemned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its candidate, John Mahama, for engaging in divisive tribal politics.
She pointed out that certain NDC members have expressed opposition to her potential role as First Lady due to her Fulani heritage, branding her a foreigner.
During her campaign stop in Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, Samira highlighted the absurdity of the NDC’s criticisms, noting that they have yet to challenge her qualifications or abilities but have instead focused on her tribal background.
She urged Ghanaians not to support a party that disrespects citizens based on ethnicity, emphasizing that if the NDC does not respect her, it clearly does not respect the electorate either.
With the December 7 elections approaching, Samira encouraged voters to reject the NDC’s narrow-minded approach and instead embrace a future of unity and progress under inclusive leadership.
