Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has voiced his disappointment regarding the club’s failure to present him with a new contract, raising speculation about his future at Anfield.

The 32-year-old, who is Liverpool’s top scorer this season with 12 goals in all competitions, is set to be out of contract at the end of the season.

Following a standout performance where he scored twice, including the decisive penalty, in a 3-2 victory against Southampton, Salah discussed his contract situation with reporters.

“We’re almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers to stay at the club,” he stated after the match at St Mary’s. “I’m probably more out than in.”

When asked about his feelings regarding the lack of a contract offer, Salah replied, “Of course, I’m disappointed. I’m not planning to retire anytime soon; I’m focused on the season, trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I am disappointed, but we will see.”

Liverpool has yet to publicly respond to Salah’s comments. However, a club source informed BBC Sport that communication between Liverpool and Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, is ongoing and described it as positive.
